Samuel P. Holloway, III is a living example of Fredrick Nietzsche’s quote, “That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.”
Born and raised Robert Theotis Edmond in the projects of Chicago’s neighboring steel city of Gary, Indiana. Samuel survived a childhood of abuse, bullying, rejection, violence, molestation, incest, and rape. Through it all, he remained committed to more than surviving. His determination was to improve his quality of life as well. He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School. As a young adult he endured a life of promiscuity, prostitution, exploitation, and domestic violence. He eventually discovered the identity of his biological father, and legally changed his name to Samuel P. Holloway, III.
Samuel later survived a car-jacking where he was violently beaten and left for dead, with a multitude of broken bones, cuts and abrasions, which took three years of surgery and rehabilitation to overcome. During the process of recovering, he spent his time writing his captivating Autobiography, “Eyes Without a Face, The Samuel P. Holloway, III Story.” Through the documentation of his life of struggle and turmoil he discovered a new inner strength, passion and sense of empowerment. Samuel believes, “GOD didn't leave me, and HE kept me here, to share my story, to help heal, and to educate others.”
Samuel has achieved success in finance, banking, and real estate investing. His academic accomplishments include Gary Community Schools, Ivy Technical State College, Indiana State University and St. Paul Technical College. He is currently attending Atlanta Metropolitan State College, obtaining his degree in Business Management.
